The Process
QUESTIONNAIRE
Before we start capturing your memories, I’d love to learn about your vision for the session. To help me understand what’s most important to you, I’ll send over a short questionnaire. It includes questions like who will be part of the session and which photograph matters most to you. The questionnaire also helps me recommend the session type that best fits your needs.
Details & Deposit
Following our consultation, I will send you a contract and terms and conditions. These will have all the details we discussed, along with the agreed date and time for your session. Once the forms have been signed and 50% of the deposit has been paid, your session will be booked.
Stay Connected
Please feel free to reach out to me any time for any questions or outfit questions! While many clients are happy to communicate through email, I’m always happy to hop on a call or video chat. I want you to be completely comfortable and confident with me as your photographer.
Full payment will be due the day before our session.
After the Session
Within two weeks, you’ll receive a password-protected link to your private online viewing gallery. Your gallery will remain active for one month, giving you unlimited access to download all the edited and retouched images from your session. You’ll also receive a print release, allowing you to create personal prints through the printing method of your choice.
FAQ
What area do you serve?
A. I serve throughout Northern Virginia. I am based out of Chantilly and charge a travel fee for locations greater than 25 miles away.
Do you reschedule for bad weather?
A. When we set a date for your session, it’s impossible to know exactly what the weather will bring. Just because the sun isn’t shining doesn’t mean we can’t create something beautiful! Soft clouds can give us gorgeous light and even a little drizzle can add a magical touch to your photos.
However, for safety and comfort, heavy rain, snow, strong winds, extreme temperatures, or other hazardous conditions will require us to reschedule. If the forecast the day before suggests these conditions, I’ll reach out to you to arrange a new date.
How long until my photographs are ready?
A. Photographs are ready within 2 weeks of the session date. This time frame is important when dealing with multiple customers because it provides me time to spend careful attention to each client and session. Additional time is spent on editing and lightly retouching selected images before they are uploaded to each client's private online viewing gallery.
What am I allowed to do with my digital images?
A. Upon receipt of your images, you will be given a print release. This allows you to have the right to make unlimited prints of your images through your preferred method. Digital images can be shared with friends and family through digital downloads, prints or on social media.
Do you keep an archive of all your images?
A. Because of the volume of clients, I cannot keep an archive for clients. I will keep your online viewing gallery available 2 weeks. During this time you can make unlimited downloads of all your images.
